ટ્રી પ્લાન્ટેશનની મારી યાત્રા વર્ષ ૨૦૨૬માં દસ વર્ષની થશે. પાછલા સાત વર્ષોમાં મેં ટ્રી પ્લાન્ટેશનની અનેક ડ્રાઇવ્સ કરી છે, જે દરમિયાન મેં ૩,૫૦,૦૦૦ જેટલા વૃક્ષોનું વાવેતર કર્યું છે. તો “ક્લિન ઈન્ડિયા ગ્રીન ઇન્ડિયા, 'ટ્રી ગણેશા' કે “સત્યાગ્રહ અગેઇન્સ્ટ પોલ્યુશન એન્ડ ક્લાયમેટચેન્જ' જેવી અનેક અવેરનેસ ડ્રાઇવ્ઝના માધ્યમથી મેં બે લાખથી વધુ લોકો સાથે સંવાદ કર્યો છે. મારી એ ટ્રી પ્લાન્ટેશન ડ્રાઇવ્ઝ દરમિયાન કે અવેરનેસ ડ્રાઇવ્સ દરમિયાન મેં જોયું છે કે અનેક લોકોને વૃક્ષો કે વૃક્ષારોપણ ગમે છે. પરંતુ આયર્ની એ છે કે ક્યાં તો લોકો પાસે યોગ્ય જાણકારી નથી. અથવા તેઓ ગેરમાર્ગે દોરાયેલા છે. કેટલાક લોકો તો એવું પણ માનતા હતા કે ઘરમાં કે ઘરની આસપાસ વૃક્ષો કે પ્લાન્ટ્સ રાખવાથી મચ્છરોનો ત્રાસ થઈ જાય છે!

206 में वृक्षारोपण की मेरी यात्रा दस वर्ष की हो जायेगी । पिछले सात वर्षों में, मैंने कई वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाए हैं, जिसके दौरान मैंने लगभग 3,50,000 पेड़ लगाए हैं। इसलिए 'स्वच्छ भारत हरित भारत', 'ट्री गणेशा' या 'सत्याग्रह अगेईन्स्ट पोल्युशन एन्ड क्लायमेटचेनज' जैसे कई जागरूकता अभियानों के माध्यम से, मैंने दो लाख से अधिक लोगों के साथ बातचीत की है। मेरे वृक्षारोपण अभियान या जागरूकता अभियान के दौरान, मैंने देखा है कि बहुत से लोग पेड़-पौघे लगाना पसंद करते हैं । लेकिन विडम्बना ये है कि या तो लोगों को सही जानकारी नहीं है. या फिर वे गुमराह हैं. कुछ लोगों का यह भी मानना था कि घर में या उसके आस-पास पेड़-पौधे होने से मच्छर दूर रहेंगे!
