Is climate change decreasing our days or years of survival?
We have to accept that climate change is a destiny for the people of the 21st century era. Because the darkest effects of climate change are to be seen in this century. Also, most of the deaths in this century are happening due to ill effects of climate change. Well, in the midst of all this, another startling report has come out on climate change, where the prestigious Massachusetts Institute has said that the number of good weather days are now decreasing across the world, including India. That is, the number of happy days that Westerners call 'outdoor days' has drastically decreased!.
Let's look at the statistics later and first explore more about the term 'outdoor day'. People experience extreme climate conditions in the year some days in a year, which are spent in extreme cold and some days spent in extreme heat and rain. Due to this, people avoid traveling to areas far away from home during these days. Or due to extreme rain, extreme heat, or extreme cold, people can not go away from home even if they want to. These days, the people are involved in their routine tasks only. But there are some outdoor days, the days when the weather is extremely pleasant. On those days, the heat is proportional, and the cooling too. These are the ideal days when people arrange tours and travel. They also complete important tasks and work of other cities in such a favorable climate. Talking about India, the number of such outdoor days in India is 140. That is, almost half of the year is the best time for people in India to travel.
But now the heat has increased. Presently, while writing this article, many states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh have been affected by severe heatwaves. The monsoon, on the other hand, also became very erratic and aggressive in India. Due to all this, the number of 'outdoor days' in India is decreasing. In the last two-three years, it has been noted that the number of outdoor days in India has decreased to about 120 due to the impact of climate change. That means there has been a reduction in twenty days. But MIT research says that the number of outdoor days in India is set to drop to just 69 in the coming years!
That means there will be only two months in India now, during which people of India will be able to plan a trip or even think of going somewhere out of home! The MIT report is also saying that by the end of this century, there will be a very dark and catastrophic impact on India's tourism as well. Because climate change will also have profound effects on many Indian tourist destinations like the Himalayan regions, due to which the main attraction of the tourist destinations will be destroyed! Just like last year, the most famous love destination of Europe, Venice, the water receded, and the canals of the main waterways transport of the city remained empty giving a shock to the tourists and the local people.
Due to ill effects of climate change, India's tourist destinations will be hit by billions of dollars. Unfortunately for the future generations, the information will be available online that once upon a time there was tourism in such places in the country. Because by the year 2100, drastic changes are coming in the world tourist map. After reading all this research, we should now worry about what we are passing on to our next generation. Upheavals and changes that have not happened on earth in the past thousands of years are happening in this century. On one hand the water level of sea is rising day by day and cities like Mumbai, Chennai and Dwarka are threatened. On the other hand, natural disasters and calamities have started taking place every year in different regions of the Himalayas. Even the desert areas in India have started raining indiscriminately!. Also, why just talk about the change in rain patterns? The El Nino effect has had such profound effects on rainfall that rains now strike at any time of the season.
All this is having a profound impact on jobs across the world. Due to climate change, now the agriculture output has been severely affected all over the world. To fight extreme conditions and increasing heat, the use of air conditioners and refrigerators is increasing, and due to which carbon emissions are increasing in the world. There is constant fear of death of human lives or even biodiversity burning. But we don't understand...And we are still not taking environmental protection seriously!!.
